Bilateral Simultaneous Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) may Not be Safe Even in the Healthiest Patients, reports findings from a nationally representative database. The purpose of the study is to identify if there is a population of patients undergoing TKA in whom bilateral TKA can be safely performed, comparing 30-day mortality and complication rates with those of patients undergoing unilateral TKA.
